Vacation

We got home from our trip to Michigan last night around 10:15 pm. We ended up splitting the drive up into two days both on our way to and from Michigan. It probably was a very wise choice since we had to make quite a few stops to accomodate Miss Emma. We left on Wednesday shortly after lunch and stopped to stay at a hotel in Canton. We then got up on Thursday and headed for the rest of the way. Emma didn't seem to be a fan of the road on the way to Michigan. She wanted to eat more like every two hours(sometimes even less) compared to her normal every three hours. Needless to say we made it to Michigan with a seven year old and a three month old and still had our sanity. We had a great long weekend (I will recap the days later once I get my pictures uploaded). We then left around 9:30 Monday morning and again stopped in Canton to stay over night. Tuesday morning we got up and headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame before heading home. Since we were so close we figured we mine as well stop while we were there. We got back on the road around 2 pm and then got in at 10:15. Emma seemed to do better in the car on the way back to Virginia. She did not like when we had to sit in the traffic backup because of construction. We were very blessed that Mom and Dad went to Michigan as well. They put up with the constant stops - even though I would call and tell them Emma was screaming, but when we would get out she would be smiling. Monday night we even got to sleep all the way through the night (other than when I had to pump) because Mom and Dad got up with Emma in the hotel room.
