We have had a nice weekend and been very busy so I haven't been able to get around and blog. Here are a couple of updates:
-Thursday Emma had her first speech therapy session. Of course she ate like a champ and the lady probably thinks were crazy. We disscussed some ideas to help with feedings and her reflux. One big thing was to start rice cereal. The thought is that the rice will help weigh things down. We only give Emma a small amount of what the box suggests in her bottle. Emma hates the texture of it and it gives her quite a belly ache. We have cut the ammount in half and only give her one or two rice bottles a day.
-Friday we all went to a concert at the park in our local town with some of our friends and their kids. The kids had fun playing and we left before it was over. Things really changes when you are out and about with 2 kids. Afterwards we headed back to our friend's house to hang out for a little while.
-Saturday Emma rolled from back to belly for the first time. We figured when it happened she would freak out because she hates her belly but she was actually not screaming. She did it again one more time, but hasn't done it since.
- Saturday Cloey had a friend sleepover and they stayed up WAY TOO LATE. They had a blast and Cloey just loves to play with her so it was all worth it to hear her giggle and have a good time.
- Today we managed to get ourselves and three girls ready for church and made it there on time. After church we went to visit with some friends so they could spend time with Emma. We ended up going to lunch with them and it was very nice. Cloey went over to play with Hunter when we were dropping her off from the sleepover. Needless to say Cloey is wornout.
- We got the results of Emma's kidney ultrasound and everything looks great. God answered our prayers and the kidney issue resolved itself from the NICU.
- Emma is getting baptized on August 8th. We are looking forward to this time because our faith is the biggest thing that helped us through everything. We are planning on having a cake celebration that afternoon to celebrate Emma's baptisim and her coming home from the NICU and thriving. More to come once we hash all the details out.
We have a busy week ahead of us!!! We always have 2 or 3 appointments in a given week for Emma, but we wouldn't change it for the world. Our girls are absolute blessings from God!!!
