Kid's Museum

Okay I am still trying to catch up from this summer. I know I have been slacking, but her is a make up post.
Once we returned from Florida I had about one week before I went back to work and Cloey had a little over a week before her summer with us came to an end. We decided to head to Harrisonburg one day and visit the Kid's Museum. It was a small museum, but the girls had a blast. They played in the ambulance, created a play, painted their faces, played in the produce stand, and the house. It was a very nice morning spent watching their imaginations shine.
After the museum we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch. Cloey loves mild wings, but on this occasion they were a bit to spicy for her. We then headed out and about to buy her school supplies. It was a nice way to spend one of our last days of summer together as a family.

Hollywood Studios

We had lots of fun at Hollywood Studios. We were able to ride all the rides and our favorite ride by far was Toy Story Midway Mania. Cloey was able to meet some characters at Hollywood Studios and once I upload my Disney CD I will post those pictures. Cloey was also impressed with the Tower of Terror because of the spooky setting and the thrill of the ride. She rode her first upside down roller coaster and was very proud of herself. Emma did a wonderful job while we were in the park(as she did everyday) since she is such a go with the flow baby. This was the only park that it rained while we were there and thankfully we were eating lunch inside at the time. The stroller didn't fare so well during the storm. We also took the opportunity to cash out or snack credits a couple of times at Hollywood Studios for an icee and it was a yummy way to cool off in the hot sun.

Emma was all about raising her shirt and showing off her scar. She actually even rubs her scar now and it is pretty funny.

Epcot

We only went to Epcot one day because we were able to get all the rides done quickly in that time we where there. We didn't worry about going to the different countries and seeing the movies and what not this time as Cloey was older and more interested in the rides. We did ride Test Track and Soarin which were two of Cloey's favorite rides. We then went to Turtle Talk with Crush that was interactive and Cloey even got to talk. That attraction allowed for a lot of laughs. We had fun riding all the rides they had and when the girls are older we will take the time to visit the countries again.
Trying to get a picture of the girls together was near impossible. It was too bad because everyday they either had matching or similar outfits on. Here they are both wearing there Minnie Mouse shirts.

Daddy and his girls checking the stingrays out.

Emma loved all the fish and even learned how to say fish at Epcot.

We enjoyed tasting all the different Coke products from around the World. Our favorite was the one from Costa Rica it tasted like Bubble Gum.

Character Breakfast

We decided to splurge this year and take the girls to a character breakfast. We had never taken Cloey to one before and thought she would really enjoy it. We went to the one at Animal Kingdom at Tusker House and had a great time. We ate yummy food, got to get autographs and pictures with the characters, and have a great time together. Cloey was excited to see the characters and Emma was okay if they were a short distance away from her. She did enjoy Donald and Daisy Duck and kept saying "duck, duck." While it was more than we would ever pay for breakfast it was worth the memories.

Animal Kingdom

We had the Park Hopper pass for our trip to Disney so we spent time in all the parks and some days even spent the morning in one park and the evening in another park. The girls both enjoyed Animal Kingdom. I would saw Cloey enjoyed the ride Expedition Everest the best and Emma enjoyed the Lion King and Finding Nemo stage shows the best. These are just a few of the many pictures. Dad and Mom got me a Photo Pass for my birthday so any photos that those "annoying" people take when you enter the park and as you are walking around I will be getting on a CD in a couple weeks with the copyright. Those people weren't so "annoying" this time as I have over 400 pictures(some with AWESOME special effects) to capture the memories of our trip. Once I get the CD I will update additional pictures from all the parks.

The Safari Ride was amazing!

My Dad and Cloey took the same picture 5 years ago and if my scanner wasn't broke I would upload to show you how much she has grown.

Playing Catch-Up

I know I haven't blogged in a really long time and I have some serious catching up to do. My plans are to work on catching up and blogging about our AMAZING trip to Disney that we went on the first week of August. We wouldn't be able to share our amazing trip if it wasn't for Grammy and Pop Pop. The girls(along with Jason and I) had an absolute blast.

Disney Hair

We decided for Emma to have her first haircut done at the Magic Kingdom on our trip to Disney. It seemed like a neat and special way to capture the memories of her first haircut. She did a wonderful job and her haircut helped with the Donald Trump flap look that she previously sported. When you they are finished with their haircut, they get a pair of Mickey ears that says First Haircut on the back and a certificate
Stickers, stickers, and more stickers!!! Emma was covered in Mickey Mouse stickers to keep her occupied while she got her haircut.

She did such a wonderful job.

Sitting like such a good girl to get her hair cut.

Cloey's treat while in Disney along the lines of "hair" was to get colored streaks and confetti put in her hair. They do it right on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom for $7.50(I was impressed with the price). She left it in for the duration of the evening and THANKFULLY it washed out easily and didn't seem to stain or ruin anything. Daddy swears she will never do it again, but at least she got it in this one time and LOVED it.
As the lady painted the colored gel and put the confetti in Cloey's hair I was quite certain Jason was going to stroke out.

Cloey had a hidden Mickey in her hair-do.
